To kill in the name of God is satanic" -Pope Francis says at Mass for French priest murdered by ISIS terrorists

Pope Francis on Wednesday morning celebrated Mass for the French priest of Rouen, Fr. Jacques Hamel, whom he described, as part of the chain of Christian martyrs that runs throughout the history of the Church.
Father Hamel was murdered while celebrating Mass in the Church of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray on 26 July 2016, by two men swearing allegiance to the so-called Islamic State.

To the congregation gathered at Santa Marta and which included Archbishop Dominque Lebrun of Rouen, along with 80 other pilgrims from the diocese, Pope Francis said that "to kill in the name of God is satanic".
Reflecting on the many martyrs that are part of the history of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis said:
"This is a story that repeats itself in the Church, and today, he said, there are more Christian martyrs than there were at beginning of Christianity. There are Christians "who are murdered, tortured, imprisoned, have their throats slit because they do not deny Jesus Christ". This history, the Pope said – continues with our Father Jacques: he is part of this chain of martyrs.
"Father Jacques Hamel was slain as he celebrated the sacrifice of Christ’s crucifixion. A good man, a meek man, a man who always tried to build peace was murdered. This is the satanic thread of persecution" he said. And, Pope Francis continued: "What a pleasure it would be if all religious confessions would say: 'to kill in the name of God is satanic'".
Pope Francis concluded his homily holding up Fr Hamel and his example of courage and said we must pray to him to grant us meekness, brotherhood, peace and the courage to tell the truth: "to kill in the name of God is satanic".

Lamar Odom pictured partying with strippers after he was seen 'smoking marijuana'

It's not been too long he got out of rehab but it looks like Lamar Odom is suffering a full-on relapse. Khloe's ex was spotted partying at a strip club in Queens, New York, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Photos taken inside the establishment show the 36-year-old surrounded by nearly-naked women as he stood at the bar.

He was later seen leaving the club through a backdoor with a friend and in the company of two women. On Sunday he was spotted in Rhode Island smoking what onlookers said was marijuana as he left an apartment and walked to a waiting SUV. An eyewitness said: 'Anyone within 50 feet of him could smell the pot.
He wasn't trying to hide it at all.' In Sunday's episode of KUWTK, Khloe expressed worry over her former husband saying that 'there is only one outcome' for Lamar after he took 'five steps backwards' in his recovery. She told her sisters Kim and Kourtney that she couldn't get his recovery back on track as he was not following through with his therapy and began hanging out with a bad crowd again. 'You can't do anything if the person is not willing to take control of their life and get help,' said Khloe.

Instagram ripsoff Snapchat's stories feature

Looks like Instagram's new feature is a ripoff of photo sharing app Snapchat. Instagram announced today that they will be introducing 'Instagram Stories' and everything from the name (Instagram Stories), to the design of the camera button, annotations tools, and the ability to share photos to friends for only 24 hours, is pretty familiar to the way Snapchat operates.

According to Instagram, the new feature lets users share all the moments of their day, not just the ones you want to keep on your profile.
"As you share multiple photos and videos, they appear together in a slideshow format: your story. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or feed."
Users will see stories from people they follow in a bar at the top of your feed - from your best friends to your favorite popular accounts and unlike regular posts, there are no likes or public comments. (Which is basically the same way Snapchat operates).
According to TechCrunch, Instagram's CEO Kevin Systrom, did not disagree with their new feature being a Snapchat ripoff when they were confronted about the comparison. He said,
"They (Snapchat) deserve all the credit..This isn't about who invented something. This is about a format, and how you take it to a network and put your own spin on it."
Interestingly, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel had rejected Mark Zuckerberg’s $3 billion acquisition offer for the app in 2013. Snapchat went on to become really popular and this move by Facebook/Instagram is clearly a strategy to compete with them.

Son collapses in tears at the funeral of his mom who shielded him from bullets during Orlando massacre

Brenda Lee Marquez-McCool was dancing with her son Isaiah Henderson at Pulse nightclub when shots rang out over the blaring music. Instead of running away, she threw herself on her son, shielding him from shooter Omar Mateen. She died protecting her son, pictured in the middle crying

McCoo, 49, was a  two-time cancer survivor. Her sister-in-law Ada Pressley told the New York Daily News that McCool saw gunman Omar turn his assault rifle at her and her son and said:

"Get down,' to Isaiah and she got in front of him,". She was shot dead. That's how much she loved her kids. If it weren't for her, he'd have been shot."

At her funeral at the First United Methodist Church of Orlando today, Henderson, 21, broke down as he paid heartfelt tribute to his mother, almost unable to stand while he spoke.

"I never thought that her life would be ended right in front of my eyes," he said, sobbing. "My mother accepted everyone with open arms. She loved everybody equally, no matter what."
His brothers rushed to the pulpit to hold him up and console him.
"I haven't stopped crying since," Henderson said.

The funeral was also full of humor and colorful moments as Marquez-McCool’s family remembered her life. She was repeatedly referred to as a resilient woman who was a family leader and a fighter.

Henderson said he and his mother used to wrestle and "play fight," adding that his mother always won. “I obviously lost. She’s a linebacker!” he joked. His family roared with laughter.

Many of Marquez-McCool's 11 children spoke. Her brother Michael Santos was the only one of her siblings to offer words of remembrance, and he struggled at times to get through them.

"I have nothing to say to you because my heart is on fire. I have no words," said Santos.

He spoke fondly of their Puerto Rican heritage and said that his sister was quite the dancer, the life of the party. He looked toward heaven and asked her to "tell Jesus to step up the salsa game."

Robert Pressley Jr., another of Marquez-McCool's sons, joined his friends near the altar and sang a tribute to his mother, at times pulling the microphone away from his mouth and holding down his head as he struggled to finish the song through tears.
